Propylene Glycol

Vapco’s Arctic Protection is a Propylene Glycol based antifreeze that offers excellent burst and freeze protection against temperatures as low as -100º F. Arctic Protection is a safe choice as an antifreeze or heat transfer solution. It is non-toxic, noncorrosive, and generally recognized as food safe (GRAFS) by The FDA. It also contains lubricating properties that won’t leave deposits or residue on heat transfer surfaces. Common uses include closed systems where potable water exists, heat pumps, and solar heating systems.

Propylene Glycol’s primary function is to absorb water. Its common use is for heat transfer for things such as hydronic, heat pump, and solar heating systems. It has a higher viscosity, with lubricating qualities that extend the component file. Above all, it has a lower toxicity than ethylene glycol. Apply it as an additive in cosmetics and pharmaceutical products.

Often HVACR contractors are faced with having to use multiple injects to get a job done. If they need to clean an AC or refrigeration system for example, that’s one injection. Xpress Injects UV Dyes are so bright, leaks can often be seen with nothing more than the naked eye … and now with the convenience and ease of use with the direct inject CO2 injector gun. The dye is the same color that auto makers use in automobile A/C systems. The use of a black light and UV glasses can be used to find those really small leaks.

The Xpress Inject Seal formula is the only proven refrigeration sealer on the market with 17 years and millions of leaks permanently sealed. Other sealants that are just now entering the market have no proven track record. Do you want to take that chance?

Xpress Seal is the fastest refrigerant sealant on the market. Unlike other products, Xpress Seal travels with the refrigerant gas while other products travel with the oil. This allows the sealant to find and permanently seal the leaks faster. And if there ever comes a time that the system needs to be opened up, after it is evacuated, there won’t be sealant hardening in the lines and valves. Xpress Seal’s ultra-concentrated formula will permanently seal small holes located in A/C condensers, evaporators, fittings, and metal line sets. Perfect for split system, heat pumps, microchannel coils, packaged units, and mini splits. Xpress Seal is compatible with all refrigerants except ammonia.

Xpress Seal is an epoxy that reacts to water and air when coming in contact with the atmosphere where it is leaking. If the system stays charged for one day when running, Xpress Seal will fix most leaks. If a system has not leaked below 15 psi, there is typically not air or moisture in the system. If there is air and water in the system, pull a deep vacuum on the system and boil moisture out of the system. An alternative to pulling a vacuum is to use Vapco’s direct inject Xpress Seal Dry and turn the moisture into synthetic oil. This will prevent Xpress Seal from reacting inside your system.

From a safety stand point, Xpress Seal doesn’t contain chemicals that can cause permanent blindness. Also, the direct inject tubes are designed with safety in mind. There are check valves inside the tubes to prevent accidental release if hooked up incorrectly or over pressured.

Sytem Enhance

System Enhance’s unique formula enhances the performance of A/C and refrigeration systems and is now available in Vapco’s easy to use direct injector tube. This concentrated formula, when injected into old or new systems can provide significant energy savings, extend the life of the unit, and can even quit noisy systems.

Enhance reduces mechanical friction up to an amazing 1,500% which equates to energy savings. This system boosting formula contains a highly polar molecule that works synergistically with the compressor oil to improve performance by increasing the heat transfer in the condenser and evaporator coils. The polarized molecule bonds to the metal inside the system thus removing the insulating layer of refrigeration oil and forming a conductive layer to improve heat transfer. Just another energy saving benefit. Enhance last for the life of the equipment or until the oil is changed and in that case, A/C Enhance will need to be added to the system again.

System Protect

Xpress Inject Protect is used whenever there is a concern that there is moisture in the system and now it is easier to add than ever with the first ever direct inject CO2 gun and Xpress Seal Dry injector tube. No more need for time consuming hook ups. Xpress Seal Dry is far less expensive at removing moisture than through traditional mechanical methods.

Protect’s concentrated formula contains agents that convert moisture in the A/C system into a compatible synthetic oil that mixes with the existing oil in the system. When used, Xpress Seal Dry can prevent acid build up and compressor corrosion that could lead to system failure. Xpress Seal Dry can also be used prior to injecting Xpress Seal into the system to insure all of the moister has been removed. Moisture in a system also robs it of cooling capacity.

Perfect for split system, heat pumps, microchannel coils, packaged units, and mini splits. One Xpress Seal Dry injector tube can be used for units up to 5 ton.
