Directions:
RIGID FIBERGLASS AIR DUCT: Assemble sections to manufacturer’s instructions. Apply a 3” side by 10 mil band of duct sealant to duct board. Embed a fiberglass scrim (5 mils, 20 x 10 weave) into the base coat and apply another 10 mil coat over the scrim.
FLEXIBLE AIR DUCT/ METAL DUCT APPLICATION: Using a brush or putty knife, apply duct sealant at a minimum thickness of 20 mils to the male section of the spiral duct or to both fittings in a rectangular duct. Effect joint while sealant is wet (within approximately 15 minutes) and secure with sheet metal screws applied as close to the joint head as possible (approx. 1/2” or less). Apply duct sealant to outside of assemble with a 3” band of sealant, thoroughly covering the head and sheet metal screws. Allow it to set (approx. 48-72 hours) before pressure testing system for leaks.

If used as a spray or airborne, a respirator may be needed. Wear safety glasses. Wash hands thoroughly after handling.
